Rain Water Harvesting

What is Rainwater Harvesting? As is often stated, “Water is life and a human right” and rainfall it’s the major source.

The practice of capturing and storing rainwater goes back thousands of years and still continues to be a lifeline for many rural African communities.

The 3 main components in rain harvesting incorporates;

  1. A catchment area (e.g. rooftop of home, cow shed, store, shop etc);
  2. A conveyance system (our LifeLine gutters, first flush/rain diverter, pipes, tap etc.); and
  3. A sufficiently large KENTANK water storage tank.

The technology is simple to install, operate and maintain. Both sides of the roof of a home, shop, shed or store could be used to harvest a lot more rainwater than by using only one side of the roof.
